Placental blood takeover and transportation


In order to ensure the placental blood takeover and sample transport, in an optimum time range for the laboratory, we need to be announced in a shortest period of time, within 24 hours of birth and harvesting, the latest. You will have 2 available phone numbers so that you can announce the collection in 2 ways, both by phone and by sending an SMS.

The collected blood is preserved by maintaining it to a temperature between 4 and 8 degrees, from the moment of harvesting and during transportation. The transport temperature is monitored continuously, during the whole journey through a microchip.

This is part of the transport container (freezer). Using the information memorized by the microchip, there is the possibility of gaining a retroactive control of the temperature maintained in the "freezer" for the whole journey.

According to the standards in force in the field, placental blood transported in optimal conditions of temperature, must reach the laboratory and be processed in a period of up to 96 hours, as compared to the moment of harvesting.
For this reason, our company takes every precaution to ensure an optimal temperature during transport, so that the harvested placental blood should be as safe as possible. The mean time for transportation is 36 hours. 

The transport cars are ADR allowed (biological transport) and equipped according to international standards - with radio communication stations, GPS, in order for them to be continuously monitored.

The staff performing the carriage is authorized to takeover and transport placental blood units, under the laws in force.
